Speech and Debate

Miraleste Intermediate Debate Club is a  non-competitive introductory course. Through the use of fun games and activities students will learn a variety of styles of public speaking and formal debate. Through instruction, research and practice students will become familiar with each style. At the end of each unit, performance assignments that require students to demonstrate their abilities and what they’ve learned, will take place within the classroom setting.

Note:  At this time, there will be no competitions offered. This class is designed to familiarize students with the world of forensics and provide them a solid background should they decide to pursue this in high school.  Both Peninsula and Palos Verdes High School’s run very popular competitive speech and debate programs.

Club will not meet this spring.
