Research Essay with Works Cited due on Friday!

It's now time to do your final edits on your rough draft and change your bibliography to a works cited.

A works cited is just like a bibliography, except you only include the entries you actually cited within your essay. Take your bibliography (BTY - I made notes on many to explain what needs to be fixed). Remove entries you didn't actually cite in your essay. Change the title to "Works Cited." Insert it as the last page of your essay.

Wednesday's zoom at 10:00 will explain how to change your bibliography into a works cited. Attendance is optional. Attached is the rubric I will be using. Check your essay to make sure you fulfill all of the requirements. This is your assignment for both Thursday and Friday.

Due:

This is an optional meeting.  I am going to be teaching how to take your bibliography and put it into a works cited.

Assignment

In order to make things a little easier, we are going to be using Microsoft teams.  Use your student portal.  Once you're in your office 365 account, you will go to Teams.  It is one of the options when you click on your "waffle" in the upper left hand corner.  Click onto "my teams" and then click on your class.  Then, click on assignments.  It will show your assignment and where to turn it in.  Please give it a try.

Due:

Assignment

Please share your bibliography and outline.  I will be grading them, so make sure to re-check the examples for accuracy.  A few of you have already sent a bibliography.  I made comments, so please re-share once you've fixed it.  As you are making your outline, if you notice any gaps in your content, do more research so you have all of the content you need.  At the end of your intro paragraph, it asks for a thesis.  We'll work a little more on that on Monday, so you can just write "thesis" for now.

It's been a busy week.  Thank you to all of you who are jumping in and giving your best effort.  I'm updating Aeries so you can make sure you get credit for everything you do.  If you're a little behind, please still do the assignments anyway.  There will be flexibility as we get our footing.  I hope you are enjoying your time with your family and maybe finding new hobbies.  Enjoy your time together!

Due:

Assignment

I'm steeling some random teacher's lesson online.  Not super exciting but very easy to understand;P

Watch the video and answer the questions.

Due:

Assignment

Continue Research.  In class research time is over.  You need to complete the rest of your research at home.  All of the research notecards are due on Wed, March 18.
Print "origins of the Renaissance"

Due:

Assignment

One of the amazing skills of Renaissance artists was the use of perspective to make pictures seem 3-dimensional.  Now it's your turn to try.  Try one of these scenes.  You don't need to add the same amount of detail as the videos shown, but add enough so we can tell your picture is 3-d.  (You don't need to spend forever on this, maybe 20 minutes ish)

Due:

Assignment

Lay your completed research notecards on a table.  Take a picture of them.  You should have at least 20 informational notecards and 7 bibliography notecards.

Due:

Assignment

Print or pull up the document for checking notecards.  Once you've done the 1st page (checking notecards), turn to the 2nd page for instructions on how to re-sort your notecards.  This link is a video I put together to explain it a little better.  It's my first youtube video - yeah me, we're all trying new things:P

The completed outline and bibliography will be due on Friday.

Hi!  Happy first day of online school.  This is going to take a little getting used to.  One nice thing about it, though, is a little flexibility on schedule.  You may do the assignment any time today.

There are many forms in which you may do your work.  You may do your work on a separate document add to the one you open or print itwrite on it, and then scan it.   Whichever way, you will have an office 365 document when you’re done.

To turn in your work:  Share your completed document with me via Office 365.  While on your document, click share in the upper right hand corner.  Type “Chetanna”, and choose me -Malynn Chetanna.  Please label the document with your period number, last name, and assignment name.  For example, If I was in period 1, I would label my document 1 Chetanna Italian Renaissance Art
