4/17 Work

1.  I have released the scores of yesterdays Check for Understanding (CFU) and updated any corrections in the grading that the computer may have made. Scores are also on Aeries.  It was out of 20 points but only worth 10 since we are still learning remotely.  If you did not do as well as you hoped please look at some of my notes and also be sure to check in during office hours to ask questions.  I have had only 15 kids total come to office hours to ask questions and basically all of them did fine.  If you score is lower than you like you need to review and practice and be sure to come to the next office hours.

2.  Please complete the attached WS.  Email the work to me today. Be sure to show ALL work.  Be organized and thorough. Some of you have gotten a little lazy and fallen back into your bad habits.  Please please be sure to show work properly just as I expected when we were at school.
WS 16.2 odds only.  Show all steps!
WS 159 Do column 2 and 4 only.  Be sure to show the numberline as your work.  I want to see if you understand number sense and can figure out its position relative to the other numbers.

Congrats on making it through 4 weeks of remote learning!  I hope to see you all again soon!  Relax this weekend!  Go have fun.  Wash your hands.  Go outside.  Wash your hands again.  Beg your parents to take you to in-n-out for lunch.  Wash your hands before you eat.  And have fun.

Also this weekend the Hill is doing something special to support our essential workers (doctors, nurses, police, firemen, etc) We are Lighting up the Night.  See attached for details. Basically to show our support we are leaving our porch lights on, putting out luminaries, putting up Christmas lights, or whatever lights you want to put up to show your support Sunday night.  How awesome would it be if every house did this.  Spread the word!

See you guys next week!
