Below please find the possible themes that you may write about on The Call of the Wild - you may chose two of the five - You have the entire period to work on the two essays - please include all characters and situations that prove your essay:
Pick two of the following:
1. Civilization vs. The Wild
2. Loyalty
3. The Law of Club and Fang
4. Survival of the Fittest
5. Perseverance
 
Remember: You must return your Call book tomorrow
Please remember your completed blue packet must be turned in as well
 
DO NOT FORGET YOUR TEST ON BOOK #3 IS MONDAY NOVEMBER 18 - YOU MAY USE YOUR BOOK BUT WILL NOT BE GIVEN THE QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE.

1. Name of book, author
2. Who or what was your favorite character - Why?
What were their internal and external characteristics
3. Was this character a part of a conflict? What this character part of the climax? Describe
4.What is the moral and theme of this book?
5. Would you recommend this book to others? Why or why not?

Wednesday - Friday - Continue Call of the Wild Chapters 4-5
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP WITH THE BLUE PACKET AS WE GO THROUGH THESE CHAPTERS BOTH IN QUESTIONS AND VOCAB IN CONTEXT!
 
OH! AND Thursday is of course HALLOWEEN!! 

Information for Week of October 21-25 and Important Dates for Tri 1

This week we will be beginning The Call of the Wild 
 
Students have packets that must be completed - first test will be after chapters 1-3 are completed
 
Second Literature test on a  free reading book will be Tuesday the 29th
 
 
 

Information for Week of October 14-18 and Important Dates for Tri 1

Monday October 14 - Lab 606
Tuesday October 15 - Friday October 18 - Begin Power point and pre reading for The Call of the Wild
Reading Packets will be passed out and other materials
 
Important Dates: Wed October 16 - Interim Reports due to office for Failing Grades and poor citizenship
Tuesday October 29 - Free Read Lit Test#2
 
November 15 - Grades in this class Close
November 22 - End of Trimester 1 - Minimum Day
November 23 - December 1 - Thanksgiving Break
 
Lit Test 1 will be posted on Monday October 14 - At that point all grades thus far will be complete

I am sorry I was out most of last week.  I was in a small accident and needed the three days and weekend to recover.
