Hey Gang!

It would be great to see you and find out how you are holding up!  Plus, I just figured out how to hold a Zoom Meeting!  So, why the heck not hold one!

I will send out a password on how to get into the meeting.  Parents, this means that it will password protected and private.  Although it will be just our classes, if you can't make it, don't want to come, or are not allowed, its okay.  These meeting are NOT mandatory.  I figured it would be a fun way to see all of you knuckleheads!!  Stay tuned, I will get the info to you tomorrow.

Plus our Class Teams are up and running!  Check them out on your Office 365 Accounts!!

Mr. H

Happy Monday!

Hey Gang!!

First, I must be going crazy because I REALLY miss all you guys!  I hope that you are all doing well and keeping busy with exercise, school work, and spending time with your family.

Second, I am currently trying to figure out Microsoft Teams.  It is a way to get us all together to "talk" and focus on our class.  I am sure other teachers have already started to use it.  Stay tuned!

Third, I realize that you may be getting frustrated with doing school work at home like this.  Know that I am flexible with the work in our class.  Please email me with questions and concerns so that we can work them out together.

Lastly, and most important, please take care of yourselves and others.  Being kind is a virtue that you can practice everyday.  In knowing all of you, it's clear that kindness is in all of you!

Stay safe, stay sane, and stay six feet away from each other.

Miss you guys!

Mr. H

A Message from Mr. Hernandez

Whazzzzzzup!!

Welp! You made it through the first week of Covid-19 Home School!  I hope you are doing well and stay busy physically, mentally, and emotionally.  I know that you are going through a lot right now in a time when you should be carefree and having fun as we approach Spring Break.  Just realize, that we will all come out of this better people, who understand how to care for each other a little bit more.  I know that is true because you are all so AWESOME!

I also wanted to let you know that I will be setting up a Microsoft Team for your classes.  Some of your other teachers have done this already, and I heard it has been going pretty well.  I plan to get this up and running by Monday.  I believe that you will get an invitation via your Office 365 Account.  If you get one, please accept.  I think this will help to announce information in an easier and less confusing manner.  I will continue to use edlio, if you are unable to access the Team.

Thank you all you for being such troopers through all of this!  This is no one’s fault, and we are all acting in the name of safety of everyone around the world.   I just want you to know that I am proud to be your teacher, and Period 12 is my favorite period (get it? I put 1 and 2 together so its 12 now. Get it?), and you all are my favorite students!  Yes, even you.

Stay safe, stay sane, and stay at least six feet away from each other.

Reminder:  Campus is closed to everyone.

Miss you guys,

Mr. Hernandez

Study Guide Short Answers

I have received several questions about the short answers on the Study Guide.  As always, you do not need to answer these.  These are the exact questions that will appear on the exams so it would be a good idea to practice crafting your responses prior to the test but it is NOT required.

Thanks!

A Message from Mr. Hernandez

Hey Gang!

We are entering Day 3 of school from home, and I am already going crazy!  How about you?

I must say that you all are ROCK STARS!! I have been getting in the work that I have assigned and the communication with you has been fun!  I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that this research project should be fun!  What?!?  Yeah, it should be fun!  Trust me, I did not expect to teach this from home just as you did not expect to learn it from home.  Here we are, though.  Just do your best and work to get those cards done and then we can move to the next steps.  I know you can do it.

Lastly, I just want to let you know that I am missing all of you guys and your craziness!  You guys are nuts but you always make the days so fun!  I can't wait to see you all again, and joke around while we learn about some history!

Anyways, remember to get your exercise, do your work, and don't drive everyone in your house crazy!  You are living through a time that is, in itself, historic.  One day, this world event will likely be in a history book, and you can say, "I remember that."

Stay safe, healthy, and at least six feet away from me. ; )

Mr. Hernandez

Research Day 1

Take your time and have fun with this!  Learn something new about someone that is an important historical person!  This won't be easy but it does not have to be difficult either!  I am here and I am ready to help!

Keep up the good work, and know that I am proud of all of you!
