The four Peninsula cities, along with our law enforcement and fire partners, recently launched a new evacuation platform called Know Your Zone that will be used to notify the public of an evacuation order during an emergency, such as a wildfire or landslide. The platform divides neighborhoods in all four cities into different evacuation zones on a map that is updated in real time at PVPready.gov. If authorities issue an evacuation order for a neighborhood, the corresponding zones on the map will be activated immediately. We recently kicked off a messaging campaign that aims to encourage the entire community to know their evacuation zone ahead of time for their home, schools, businesses, and other places they frequent on the Hill.
