Miraleste Intermediate School Gym

 

The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition to 

Miraleste Intermediate a positive experience.

 

Eighth graders who serve as WEB Leaders lead large and small group activities designed to address students’ needs and concerns.  

Campus tours are given to help students become familiar with their new home.

 

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring water and an open mind!

No RSVP required

Important Dates

  •                          Student Store opens Tuesday, August 11th, 8:00-1:00

(open daily throughout the school year)

 

  • Textbook distribution August 18th & 19th, 8:00 am-1:00 pm
  •                FAQ's - PTSA, Booster, PV Transit, PVLD will have a table outside the

Student Store to answer questions August 19th only

MIS Ambassadors will offer Parent Tours on August 19th from 8:00 -11:30 am

WEB Leader Application

WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) is a transition program where 8th grade WEB Leaders are trained to work with the incoming sixth graders and 7th/8th grade students new to PVPUSD. After the mandatory trainings in August, WEB Leaders run WEB Rookie Camp, an orientation that happens before the school year starts. WEB Leaders are responsible for mentoring their group of WEBBIES and attending WEB lunch events during their first 6 months of the school year.

WEB Leaders must possess the following qualities: Strong communication skills, willingness to lead others, responsible enough to manage a small group, accountable to attend all phases of the program during the year, interest in helping others, positive role model, dedicated, has a respect for diverse ideas and personalities, enthusiastic, KIND.
 
Application Process: Applications open Monday, March 15, 2027, 3:00 pm and close Monday, April 5, 2027 @ 11:59 pm. Applicant interviews the week of April TBD @ lunch. Leaders announced TBD.  WEB Play Day during lunch thru period 6 on TBD in the TAB.
