WEB Leader Application

WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) is a transition program where 8th grade WEB Leaders are trained to mentor incoming 6th graders and 7th/8th grade students new to PVPUSD.  After the mandatory trainings in August, WEB Leaders run WEB Rookie Camp, an orientation that happens before the school year starts.  WEB Leaders are responsible for mentoring their small group of WEBBIES, and attending WEB Lunch events during their first 6 months of the school year.
 
WEB Leaders must possess the following qualities: Strong communication skills, willingness to lead others, responsible enough to manage a small group, accountable to show up throughout all phases of the program during the year, interest in helping others, positive role model, dedicated, has a respect for diverse ideas and personalities, enthusiastic, KIND.

MANDATORY SUMMER DATES for WEB Leaders (Do not apply if you cannot attend all 3 dates)

Mandatory Summer Events

August 11 8:00 am-12:00 pm (training)

August 12 8:00 am-12:00 pm (training)

August 13 7:00 am-1:00 pm (Rookie Camp and Leader Bar-B-Que)

All other events are during school time except for WEB Movie Night

Applications Information

A Google Form application can be found on the MIS school website (mis.pvpusd.net; Students; WEB)

Applications available March 10 – April 12, 2025 (during Spring Break)

Application deadline April 12, 2025, 5:00 pm (during Spring Break)

Applicant interviews the week of April 14-18, 2025, at lunch

(dates of assigned interviews & classrooms will be posted on breezeway bulletin board)

Leaders announced April 23, 2025

WEB Play Day during lunch – period 6 Wednesday, May 21, 2025
