*** Any 7th Grade student entering into 8th-grade Accel Language Arts is required to do summer reading. Requirements for the reading will be provided to the incoming 8th-grade Accel students in June.

I want to take this brief opportunity to express my excitement about working with you this year. I love teaching and enjoy guiding students to discover and challenge themselves to do more than they believe they are capable of. The main goal of my course is to help students continue to be lifelong learners and prepare them for the rigor of high school through the use of close readings, writing strategies, Socratic seminars, literature circles, analyzing texts and so much more. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a fun and successful year!
