good morning everybody I love you Wednesday morning I'm just checking in with you I will be posting a new SketchUp house this is going to be done over several days and we'll start with an anterior portion but I also know that some people have been struggling to connect to SketchUp web and I just want to show you very quickly here where I go and how I'm connected so let me switch over on my screen here you'll see here that I just did a quick search on Google for SketchUp weather and I'm going to go right here to work his products if I go on their site so very quickly to pop up like hopefully this is what you're saying you can say try SketchUp here but I would not go that direction this may take you into a different version I want to just come here and you going to click on start modeling if you have an account you'll see just go directly in yours will ask you for it to register so you'll need to register with an email and a password once you're registered it will recognize your account and then it will take you in to Google SketchUp so you can see this is one of my recent files I can double click on that and it opens up this is what we going to do today Ruby creating this house interior house so I'mma start a new file I'm selecting inches and we're going to create this file and erase right here so this any real-world measurements just like the last house, School Vacaville bit take my rectangle tool and this is going to be an interior house I'm going to start in this corner and pull out and when I enter my Dimensions remember these are going to appear in the Des Moines toolbar so I'm going to say 16 feet that's a single apostrophe, 20 feet and hit enter and it's going to give me that's where I'm going to go ahead and push pull that up to 10 seat Center probably recommend is that you well first of all to take your eraser and erase that wall and we'll see just the interior surfaces at this point I would tell you potentially you should stop and go a do that cuz if you just remember the measurements then and I'm going to continue on so pause the video do your peace it's okay so we're going to enter a mutual right here if you come over to your toolbar when you like the tape measure now note over here on this ribbon I want nothing for discovering this and said that you press down on the Wheel to orbit you will be accident out of SketchUp which is quite painful information so please do not squeeze the wheel if you wish to orbit come down here and go to the orbit tool okay now the other thing because you remember to do a save so in this case save into SketchUp. 3 and 4 and I'm going to call this interior house mr. nemec now this is important because many of you were telling me files and these files do not have names on them without names I cannot tell who's finally belong to also please make sure that you're logging into your OneDrive when you upload because when you upload it doesn't catch your name however if you're not logged in I can't see your name so I want to make sure I give you credit for the work that you do that's come back here I'm going to go ahead and select my tape measure is going to give us a you'll know when I slide the tape measure it does go to the center that stay on a Dodge I want to pick a spot on ads for red. And I want to do is pull away and you'll see what it's doing is creating a dash line these Dash lines run to infinity and beyond okay but they will help you to make different marks on your drawing so this one's going to pull out that's going to come out at 48 inches is the double apostrophe a quotation mark okay I hit answer and that will appear if you come to the other side you can do the same thing but because inches is our default measurement it will always default inches so I can just 48 and enter will do the same thing as last time come down to the floor find a spot on the floor and start to pull up the wall so click once and pull up and you're going to say 24 enter then you're going to go to the top and you're going to pull down and you going to say 18 enter. Please know anytime you make mistakes Don't Be Afraid over here in the corner and go back a step or forward step easy to fix try something doesn't work try it again okay go ahead and take your rectangle tool and snap some rectangles I want to start here on the first guideline from the ceiling and I'm going to click on that and pull down and connect right there I'm going to come to The Far Side I'm going to repeat that again with another rectangle right there go to the top ceiling and pull all the way to the floor but only in the center so now I have this pattern on my wall so again if you want to call him do this take your time there is a tool to delete all guides but I haven't quite spotted it yet on our online version so I can just go ahead and erase those so they all disappear I'm going to move it around again but I want to move it by actually going to the navigation bar not using my mouse and I'm going to go to my principal to take the center wall and pull it out and that's going to come out 24 then go to the bottom and pull that out 18 and go to the top and pull that one out 12 okay so does your measurements check this out now I can bring I can pull this one out reach over this one and it lines up so again pull out reach over and touch okay so against your bottom is 18 + 12 resume in just a few all the surface of these spots and I'm going to go there and there and I'm going to orbit around using my arvidson come back to the other side now you notice for easy to orbit outside the building what are things you can do is change your angle of view you'll see your field of you here 35° if I go ahead and say 65 you'll see it puts me on much different position so now I have a little bit of you in terms of going into the house so I can go here don't do the mouse wheel and then go to the top and I'm going to ever get lost just go ahead and click on Zoom extends with me right back in the house right here I'm going to go back can my field of view and change this back 235 and then I will orbit so I can see that wall okay so now I'm going to go back to tape measure and what I want to do is go ahead and find a spot on this Edge right here and I'm going to pull this Edge out and it's going to slide along the wall right here and I'm going to say 65 24 to inches for me then I want to go to this line and from this line I'm going to measure over 30 answer so this particular moment I have these two lines now to do something I'm going to slide down here go to floor and then start to pull a guideline up but I'll reach over and touch the corner with no line that up with the cabinet right there I'm going to do the same thing on the ceiling I'm going to ceiling pull down and touch the cabinet so my first rectangle has now. Here so what I want to do now is go ahead and pull a rectangle in that square summer think that I'm sitting right there I'm going back to my tape measure when I want to do is come to that window Edge and I'm going to go ahead and pull the window out and then I'm going to come out 30 in so this point I can take my select tool select the rectangle that I already have and then I'm going to go to my move tool so if I move to all I want to do is grab the corner of the window here and start sliding it down wall I'm going to touch my control key it will make a coffee you just left the coffee behind and now I have to endorse here okay then I go back to my tape measure come to the edge of the window and again I'm going to pull that guideline long it's going to be 30 enter I'll take my select tool select window go to my move tool and go ahead I got the windows start sliding across and it might control key to make the coffee and drop the window at the other side so now he's going to take the eraser erase my guideline and I have my house with three Windows okay and I'm going to pause right there when you get to this point stop and next lesson will follow up with additional items if you have questions please go ahead and email me at nimick at pvpusd.net and hopefully that goes smoothly for you remember you can always go backwards always try to make sure you save and make you take your time this house was not need to be uploaded yet it is not great until we finished the house and we have two more lessons or revolve around this house okay
